A family
tradition
It all began in the late 19th century when Giuseppe Quaquaro launched an art trading business in Santa Margherita Ligure. Since then, we have been continuing this tradition from generation to generation, expanding its horizons all the way to 20th century and contemporary art.
Selecting valuable furniture and objects, studying them, and accompanying them towards a new chapter in their story is our mission.
The allure
of the Riviera
For more than a century, the Riviera has been a meeting place for travellers, intellectuals, and noble families from all over the world, and Santa Margherita Ligure – as well as the nearby Portofino – still perfectly preserves the allure of the seaside village.
The windows of our shop face the sea, a scenery that has inspired poets and painters and which still today attracts an international tourism.
Living
in art
Our guesthouses “La Giunchetta”, “La Solimana” and “La Maestra” have been conceived to offer our guests an authentic experience: from XVII century furniture to 1960s interior design items, designer lamps and precious fabrics, from unusual objects to watercolour paintings and 20th century photographs.
Our shop
Crowned by an etching on slate representing Saint George, the shop window of L.B. Quaquaro antiques will welcome you right at the entrance of the town Santa Margherita, on the road towards Portofino.
